This massage is a combination of techniques tailored to help strains and muscle injuries. Whether these have resulted from sport, or an everyday injury, this treatment can be extremely beneficial. Combining soft and deep tissue massage for specific muscles, tendons or ligaments with MET stretches to gain better range of movement; this can help reduce pain, inflammation, prevent injuries and help reduce fatigue when playing sports. It may also help to improve sleep quality.
Soft tissue release is a technique where tension is applied by the therapist to the muscle while in a shortened position and then stretched into a lengthened position. This can provide relief from soft tissue dysfunctions, maintain the physical function of the muscles, and support the treatment of injuries by removing physical restrictions within the muscle.
MET is a manual therapy technique used in sport massage to improve musculoskeletal function and reduce pain. MET is used to increase muscle length, making it better suited for recent acute injuries, rather than older injuries. This technique is accomplished by the therapist holding the muscle in a stationary position, the patient then contracts the muscle while the therapist stretches the muscle, before resting and repeating.
This massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. The deep tissue massage technique is beneficial for athletes and those who remain stationary for long periods of time.
We offer massage treatment packages. These are available for purchase in a 4 treatment package and offer an overall discount, to purchasing single treatments.
